Luzon’s highest peak at 2,922 meters above sea level – claiming to be the 2nd in the Philippines but there are still objections being addressed with the 2,938 meters elevation of the Mt. Dulang Dulang in Bukidnon . “There are four major trails up the summit: the Ambangeg, Akiki, and Tawangan trails from Benguet and the Ambaguio trail from Nueva Vizcaya. These trails are managed by the Mount Pulag National Park, under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.” – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Pulag.

Uphill battle. We paced peak after the other with each one offering a landscape of its own. They are surreal. The idea of us being unwanted and the idea of them being untouched seem to sink in. Committed for the month of May, we found ourselves in the midst of nowhere in Ternate Cavite. Pico De Loro was our 3rd destination for 2013. Gaining new friends as we ascent, may it be a friend’s friend or a fellow trekker or even the locals. Collecting mementos as we descent, capturing that millisecond of being jovial and carefree. The life of being me. Never did I imagine myself to be this outgoing. This is now my life – – – to keep on travelling while young. I understand that they will not leave, but I, soon, will wither. I will inevitably age and I fear to regret the things I should have done.
